I have set a supervisor password and a user password in the BIOS, the supervisor password is working when i access the BIOS but the Power-on Password does not show up at boot and the computer start as if it was not there.
The machine is an HP Pavilion a6040n product RX889AA with the most recent BIOS update applied and the battery in perfect condition.
Core2Duo with 2 Gig of RAM + Video Card ATI X1650 with 512 Meg Ram, 2 Seagate SATA hard drives and putting them in IDE emulation or in RAID or AHCI does not change anything.
Configured as a double-boot system using GRUB to boot between Vista or OpenSuse Linux 10.3.
Disabled and Enabled both passwords many times but the Power-on Password still does not show up at boot.
Thanks in advance for any advice,

I dont know if there is an updated one.
I checked again and it is all set (both passwords) but the supervisor is the only one working, the user (or power-on password) is not.

I don't know what to do anymore.
I deactivated both password (supervisor and user) then reactivated, no change.
Everything is fine on that computer except this password problem.
Thanks anyway !!!
