What does Business Support think about a merger

It has been suggested on the itrc technical side of the house that the two forums become combined, so that there is one scale for all "points"

The itrc forums systems and format is the same, but there has existed a serate point measurement system.

It seemd reasonable to us(i still don't know how i got 5 points on this side of the house), but one might want to know your opinion.

What are your thoughts on a unified system that has us all measured against one and other? Your names would then show up on the forums.itc.hp.com main screen.

Like it?

Hate it?

Don't care?

Let me know.

This is just an informal survey which I will forward to Dan G, chief of the itrc forums. I'm just bored and curious, I don't work for HP.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: What does Business Support think about a merger

Hi Steve,

It may be worth posting this one in the Home PC's & Mobile categories as they are the ones that see the most traffic. I'm sure the folks there will let you know what they think,

Cheers,

Re: What does Business Support think about a merger

I would suggest merging points, but NOT forums.

I feel the forums dealing with Hp-Ux, MPE/iX, Networking devices would quickly be overwhelmed by people who would post their questions to the wrong forums. This would create a great deal of work for the HP shepards redirecting posts to the proper forum, but also reduce the value of the professional forums to the professionals.

Speaking as a person who has points on both sides, please let the wall continue to exist, but merge the points if you so wish.
