HP moderator,Please read.

Is HP Forums going through some changes?
The reason I ask is,when I log-in it does not keep my log-in info.We use to have a choice to save the log-in info. Now every time I answer a thread I have to log-in.
Also,I can't seem to access the sites content at times or the site itself.
Errors like:
Error while trying to search. Please search again.
( Error: james-30002 )

Surely I'm not the only one having this trouble

Re: HP moderator,Please read.

I have been seeing some strange error messages, also. I haven't had to login every time I make a post, however.

There's another example of the websites problems.

Re: HP moderator,Please read.

Hi All,

Thanks for pointing the log-in error. We will notify this issue to appropriate team.

Dmhoo29,
The magical answer icon (rabbit icon) you see next to your thread because you have been assigned 10 points to the peers' posts. This is not a website performance issue.

Thanks,
Vajith

Hi All, we are working on these issues. The forums and portal recently (Sunday) went through upgrades, things will stabilize soon. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Re: HP moderator,Please read.

Good job HP folks. I haven't seen the forum run this good since I began coming here in 2001. I am using Gutsy Gibbon, Linux and XP Pro and it is responding great.

Merry Christmas to all.

Re: HP moderator,Please read.

Yes,performance has greatly increased and the login problem is better.
However the "search" feature when trying to find posts on the forum is still giving error sometimes.
There are still some dead driver links, perhaps some are just old links I have.

"Trying" to check on a new notebook battery today,I found the HP Parts link dead from this page:

Re: HP moderator,Please read.

Okay,HP mods. You all need to reach your IT dept. and tell them to get on the ball with this Forums website. You can't navigate crap.
Everything is a DEAD LINK? You click and poof HTTP500 error or 404 Page Not Found.can't stay logged on.Wait a few minutes and you have to log in again.
C'mon guys/gals.It's time to plug the whole in the boat or let it sink all together.

Re: HP moderator,Please read.

Okay Mods,This place is getting worse.Who's working on this site? First Graders?

It can take up to 10 minutes for a thread to post or a reply to post. You have to log-in everytime you refresh the page now.
I spend more time logging in and trying to navigate the site than helping people.
You still cannot navigate to online help without ERROR 505,etc.
And if someone wants to navigate to purchase parts, another dead link.

Things have been quite a pain lately. Things will straighten up briefly (even though I still have to log in ALL THE TIME), and I'll think things are settling down and then things will mess up again.

Yep, forum ops are still Bad here, Dan G. & Gary C. It makes an already time intensive job, that much more time consuming, and not much fun anymore. Please crack the whip, firmly!
