Come back ..
12-28-2005 05:59 PM
That's not bad. In reality my prime posting time is after work and there are lots of demands on my time these days. Language classes, kids, trying to convince the authorities here that after 26 years of driving a car in the USA I really am qualified to do so here(fat chance).
People have lives outside of ITRC. Hopefully all the top posters will come home once again.

I've been quite busy. Benchmarking HP Opteron's (redhat) against Integrity's against Sun Niagara's...
and the winner is .... for our app it's opteron's
Now I'm busy trying to get a wireless infrastructure build - between SOA/portal/ESB projects

I'm not yet that long offline from the ITRC forums but didn't communicate anything about it so far. Although I've dropped a few words in the Data Protector threads so that at least the other major contributors over there knew about it.
I've started a new professional challenge on june, the first (which explains my previous last reply on may, the 31th). The IT project I'm participating in deals with other hard- and software vendors than HP.
So I only visit the ITRC forums now occasionally to do a quick search and to see what's going on too ;-).
Thanks to all of you for the great time I had over here and see you later! It remains a small world after all.

i am active here in ITRC only for 4months and nowadays ITRC consuming lot of time. i became bit addicted to ITRC.
and while reading the posts i became happy since i thought to meet Sridhar Bhaskarla.
since me from HP bangalore only.
and sad part begins..in "people finder", i am not finding him. i think he left HP.
These Olympian's should return like "SuperMan returns". and atleast update us.
wishing them all.

He is/was really bussy for the whole time so that's most probbaly why he had stopped contributions here.
Do not think he joins ITRC again if he keeps doing his actual job :)

It is nice to know Stefan is still alive.
How about 1 answer a week from home? Just to show us how much you care?
I can deal with the work pressures. My ITRC time has been slashed and is primarily from home after work.
All we need to hear from now is Sridhar?
It is good to know that all those mentioned originally are alive and healthy and no bad things happened. Believe it or not, your fellow ITRC'ers worry about you.

After I left forums in 2004, I had never come back as I didn't get a chance. Today I got a mail from one of my friends, a frequent wanderer of this area with a link that Harry was leading a gang of anthros searching out for some of the lost souls including me.
I am glad to see that both JRF and Stefan are back in action.
I feel like coming back home but believe me, it's too late. While I was here, I was somehow stuttering on HP-UX, but now I can't even spell it. May be that I work for IBM now, but the real one is that I haven't touched HP-UX, rather any Unix box since December 16th 2004. I have reduced myself to an inept bio-script that assigns tasks to others.
Today I have decided to come back, but as mere bungling visitor to chip into general discussions on once-a-month kind of schedule to relieve myself off of nostalgic pressures.

Now I *know* that can't be true! Welcome back Sri ! You have been missed as have your sharp insights and well-honed posts.

Please linger and contribute. Alas, HP's loss is IBM's gain.
