January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

This thread is for complaints about slow response time, "system unavailable", etc. - all the things that no immediate response is expected for.

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

In the last few days I often got the forums displaying the variable names instead of their values, like so:

???en.wpa.text.hpweb2003.prodserv???

Does this happen to anybody else too or is it just me?

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

No, you're certainly not the only one, Michael. Here's what I'm seeing at the top of my ITRC page where it should normally have buttons labeled ">> HP Home", ">> Products & Services", ">> Support & Drivers", ">> Solutions", and ">> How to Buy":

???en.wpa.text.hpweb2003.home??? ???en.wpa.text.hpweb2003.prodserv??? ???en.wpa.text.hpweb2003.support??? ???en.wpa.text.hpweb2003.solutions??? ???en.wpa.text.hpweb2003.buy???

I've always just assumed that things got slowed down somewhere along the line and not everything got translated. I'm sure there's a more technical explanation but that works for my simple little mind.

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

Hi Pete,
I have issue with the ITRC forum, that I can not post any replies using iPhone browser and I got the System Unavailable error.

I have added post http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1462339 but I do not know how can help in this case.

Mahmoud Ibrahim

I heard mention of something wrong with CSS. You need to change the above forums13 to 11 or the reverse.

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

I'd guess it's the interpreter that stops parsing the variables, as seen in the source:
    <meta name="GENERATOR" content="WPA HPWEB2003" />
This then breaks CSS and a whole lot of other dynamically generated content...

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

    Today I always receive a

    500: Server Error [%s]

when loading a page. After a reload most of the times it works until the next click.

    Hope this helps!
    Regards
    Torsten.

I'm seeing the same thing as Torsten.

    500: Server Error [%s]

I had to reload 3 times before this reply page came up.

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

Same here. I was on different networks, could reach www.itrc.com but not the forums the whole day. Even nslookup for the forums sites (11 and 13) was unsuccessful.

    Hope this helps!
    Regards
    Torsten.

Re: January/February/March 2011 Performance and Availability Issues

The last ITRC daily summary email (New HP Forum Discussions for ...) I received was on sunday. Since then no new ones have come in. Response notifications are working fine.

    Anybody having similar problems?

Are any of you still not receiving your email notifications? I have seen some go out today, but I'm not sure they've *all* gone out yet...

It's April Fool's day, which should make it Steve's turn and I'm going to retire from the posting of Issues and Availability threads anyway.
