How do you search on words with punctuation?

I'm trying to do a search on the .forward file, the UNIX file for forwarding email. I've tried .foward and ".forward", but it keeps finding all occurences of forward. Any ideas?

P.S. I can't get Google to do it either.

Hi Daniel:

Using Google, try:

.forward+ site:itrc.hp.com

...note the plus-sign character following dot-forward.
