slow RAID5 on Z800

A RAID5 volume has slow writes (40MB/s) vs. virtually the same configuration on another Z800 (100MB/s writes) and I can't figure out why. Would much appreciate any ideas.

Details:
- Z800 FM007UT 5506, 4GB RAM, 160GB Boot HD, Win7 Pro 64-bit - fresh out of the box
- RAID5 set using Intel Rapid Storage Technology Utility 9.5.4.1001: 3 Hitachi 7K2000 drives, all manufactured in 2010.

On an equally configured Z800, RAID5 reads are 240MB/s, writes - 100MB/s. On this one - 240MB/s reads, 40MB/s writes. Drives tested individually and are all good, each testing at over 110MB/s read/writes.

This slow RAID5 volume physically transferred to a known good Z800 - still has slow writes.

Any ideas? Thanks!
