Z420 Won't boot when usb3 raid 0 drives are switched on

Has anyone else come across this, a client has

a Z420 Workstation that is approx 5 months

old. It boots fine when his Caldigit vr2 raid 0

usb3 drives are switched off and those

drives work perfectly when they are switched

on once it has booted to the win7 desktop.

But if you switch those two drives on before

the pc and then switch the pc on it just hangs

on the initial splash screen?.

Apart from the bios setting to choose a boot drive

are there any other bios settings that could be causing this?

Re: Z420 Won't boot when usb3 raid 0 drives are switched on

Please try to change the boot order in F10 Setup to have the hard drive the first boot. For example,

F10 Setup > Storage > Boot order

EFI Boot Sources

============

    HARD DISK DRIVE

    USB Hard Drive

    USB Floppy/CD

    ATAPI CD/DVD Drive

Legacy Boot Sources

===============

    HARD Drive

              WD/Seagate HD

              USB Hard Drive

    USB Floppy/CD

    ATAPI CD/DVD Drive

    NETWORK CONTROLLER
