t610 dual monitor: cant set "Extend display" + resolution issue on Display Port/Monitor

Hi All

Model: HP T610

Disk: 4GB

RAM: 4GB

OS: Operating System: Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7E (32-bit)

HP t610 Flexible Thin Client (ENERGY STAR)

Product number:   H1Y48AA

Monitors: HP LA2405x

Image:

Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7E 4G-Flash Image for HP Thin Clients    6.1.7601.252 Rev. A 25 Jan 2013

(HP System Information showing 6.1.7601.250  and that is a problem when trying to install HP WES7 Add-On (Microsoft RDP 8), but that is an entirely different problem)

anyway:

I cant get the Display port monitor to accept any resolution higher than 1440X900.

If I try the monitor goes black.

Furthermore I cannot get the "Extend the displays" function in windows to work.  Only "duplicate these displays" works.

RGB port/monitor accpets resolutions up to 1920x1200

Drivers:

I tried this one:

HP AMD Radeon HD 6320 Series Graphics Driver      8.982.8 Rev. A   5 Feb 2013

But Also the Latest driver found on AMD website:  12.104.0.0

same issue.

Anybody has any idea?

Re: t610 dual monitor: cant set "Extend display" + resolution issue on Display Port/Monito

Some monitor via display port only supports specific resolution for example 2560x1600 and (1280x800 half of it). You may want to check the monitor specification.

If you are using DP -> DVI dongle, it could be the dongle that is causing the issue.
