Thinpro and Firefox settings

I have a T5545 and I need to make settings changes to Firefox proxy settings inside the browser. The settings work while in the session but once the current session is closed, settings revert back to baseline.

How do I make the settings stick?

Thank you,

Josh

Re: Thinpro and Firefox settings

- Create a Custom Connection in HP ThinPro with the command line:
xterm -font 10x20
- Type the command su and use the password root
- Type fsunlock
- make the needed changes
- Type fslock, and then reboot

Re: Thinpro and Firefox settings

On the general settings button choose Firefox. Then in the general settings of Firefox check the box let the user change Firefox settings. After that you will have to put the settings in one time but they should keep every time you launch the connection.

Re: Thinpro and Firefox settings

rmayer, I tried a variation of this and it didn't work, neither did your approach. I beleive Firefox is writing it's profile back to a location that gets wiped every time you close the session (/home/user/.mozilla/firefox/hplinux.default/prefs.js).

I found the source location for the file and edited that file and it now uses that file to populate the temporary file and all is well (/writable.home/user/firefox/prefs.js)

Bass Ghost, the settings I need aren't available for the gui.

Thank you both,

Josh
