T5740 new image question

I have several T5740 thin clients with Windows Standard 2009 image version 5.1.810.WES0. I downloaded the new image V5.1.989 want to install it using a USB drive. The process freezes without giving me a message. The units have 2GB Flash and 2GB RAM. Is this image too new for the t5740? If so what is the newest version of the image I can use?

Re: T5740 new image question

989 is applicable to the t5740.

How big is the file you downloaded (sp61093.exe)?  Were you able to create the USB key and it's booting from that key that is freezing?  You downloaded sp61093.exe to your PC to create the key and not directly on the thin client, correct?

Re: T5740 new image question

The file sp61093.exe is 1.05 GB. I downloaded it to a laptop, launched the file and selected the USB format option. (I have tried it with both a 2 GB and 16 GB key). Yes, it is when I am booting the thin client from the key that it is freezing. I see the windows icon and it freezes shortly after that.

Re: T5740 new image question

Issued resolved. I contacted HP and here is the resolution.

1. Please update the BIOS from below web-link given.

2. After updating the Bios I request you to try to image 5.1.989 Rev on the unit and check for the issue and please Make sure you are using a 4 gb flash drive on the unit .
