Good day All,
We have HP workstation b2600 with HP-UX NMC B.11.11 U 9000/785.
Station shutdowns unexpectedly and after few seconds started itself.
This happens on non-systematic basis and without any error in shudownlog.
Is there any methods to identify a problem?
Any help will be appreciated!
P.S. This thread has been moved from HP-UX-System Administration to Workstations - Itanium-Based, hp9000, Visualize. -HP Forum Moderator

If shutdownlog does not report a panic condition (which is a system crash), then check /var/adm/crash. It may have crash dumps which will indicate that a crash has occurred. If no crashdumps are found, it is likely to be a power supply failure or possibly a power failure.

Most likely cause would then be the power supply. You can go to the HP parts website to find the part number and also see a diagram of all the parts. The URL is:
You can search for b2600 but you'll then need the model number, probably on the back next to the serial number. It will be one of these:
A6069A, A6069AR, A6069B, A6070A, A6070AR, A6071A, A6071AR, A6071B, A6071BR, A6071C, A6071CR, A6071D, A6071DR, A6071E, A7183A, A7183AR, A7183B, A7183BR, A7183D, A7183DR, A7251A, A7251AR, A7251B, A7251BR, A7251D, A7251DR
