HP 9000 735/125 Monitor or Serial Console

[ Edited ]

I've just been handed a 735/125 with a keyboard and mouse, but no monitor and no docs. The only monitor I have that matches the 3 BNC sync-on-green requirements of the graphics system is an old SGI CM2086A3SG, which operates only at 60 Hz (1280x1024).

I have tried to attach a vt200 terminal to each of the serial ports on the back, but nothing comes up during boot.

Can I:

1) Configure the video system to match my SGI monitor (1280x1024, 60Hz)

or

2) Configure the computer to boot using one of the serial ports as console?

While I'm at it, I've had no luck finding H/W docs online for this box. Any idea where I might find some?

Thanks,
Tom Curbishley
