HP 9000 715/64 Power Up sequence

When I power up the 715/64 (HP-UX 9.X), the only thing that shows on the monitor was the function keys at the bottom of the screen. The function keys on the keyboard are working when I toggle it. Is there any way to display the power up sequence?

Is there a "*" in the Remote Mode key?

These go back, but I assume you mean you have a CRT monitor (not a terminal)?

This could mean your display path is not set properly.  When you power on the system do you get anything on the display at all?  If not, do you have an attached (and working) keyboard and mouse?  If I recall, without a key/mouse presence the output defaults to RS-232.

If you can get to the Boot Admin prompt, look for the path command to display the console path and try different options to get it right.
