hp9kcontainer: how long to wait for autofs start?

I'm running HP9000Containers v A.03.01.04. It is a new installation.

I've created a container of an 11.11 host using the install-from-make_net_recovery-image technique.

The old server (K460) is using autofs. The container has a new hostname/ip address.

How long should I wait for the AUTOFS to try to start? (I've been waiting about 4 hours.)

What is the best approach to terminating the startup? The last time I tried this, I gave up at 2 hours and then ran into problems clearing the attempt: I could neither stop nor start the container (its state was 'starting'), and ended up having to delete the container and start over from scratch.

thanks,

Maz

Re: hp9kcontainer: how long to wait for autofs start?

you should collect rc.log , syslog.log  in container directory, and a nettl trace while starting, then ask to hp support.
