Fixing Windows 8 using ubuntu

I have an HP laptop with windows 8 installed. I am unable to enter the Windows Recovery Environment and unable to boot into Windows operating system with BOOTBCD error in the windows partition.(as shown in ubuntu live cd)

I am able to access the GPT partitions using ubuntu live cd and able to access Windows Recovery Tools and Windows Recovery Image.

Secure boot shows that bootable image is missing while I am able to run the live cd using legacy settings. Booting into the hardrive shows that the hard disk is missing. Previously I was able to boot windows using secureboot.

I currenty do not have the recovery discs with me.(they are on the way)

Any ideas on how to fix it using just ubuntu?

I do have additional dvd/harddrive/pendrive with me to copy partitions.
