I had the same issue for our Business Inkjet 2800DT. If you email HP support they should be able to confirm if the printer is currently supported for Windows 7 or if future driver support will be made available.
Follow the following link to get you started:
Hope this helps.

In addition to contacting HP, you can also download and run the free Microsoft Windows upgrade advisor. This tool will report most computer hardware and software compatibilities/incompatibilities with Windows 7, and if there are solutions.
Connect and turn on all your peripherals (printers, scanners etc., before running the advisor tool.

Thanks for answer !
I would find a document like canon http://www.usa.canon.com/app/pdf/compatibility.pdf , who resume for all model HP. I have in my envrionnement , more 91 HP models and i want to have information easily as possible

As far as I know, HP has not published a handy list like Canon did.
However, they have a web page (link below) where you enter your printer's model number and it will take you to the site where there are W7 drivers for it, if they exist. If there are none, my assumption would be that the printer is not W7 capable. I have an HP Photosmart 1115 printer and I entered it in the box. Nothing showed up. I know there are no W7 drivers for it, so that was what I expected.
On the lower right hand side of the page you will see a sentence:
Search for HP software & drivers compatible with Windows® 7
Below that, you enter the model # in the box provided.

Just to add to this thread I have looked at the compatability list (I run an ANCIENT HP 1100D inkjet) and there is an upgrade fro my printer??! It asks me to treat the printer as per a 1000 AiO? Shame it doesn't work though!
The best thing is I did have the prinetr working A1 under Win7 Ultimate 32bit. I simply changed to Win7 32bit French Version! And now it will certainly NOT work? Mind you at around 13 years old n prinetr terms it is as old as me I think?! BUT it is an amazing machine and I would honestly not be without it!

I have the same problem as crashbirdy except that my printer is only 4 years old. I have been told by one HP tech that my printer is incompatible with Windows 7. I just spent a lot of money to get rid of a Dell computer with Windows XP (which I had no problems with) and replace it with a new HP that has a program that isn't compatible with my 4-year old HP printer. I'd like some assistance in making Windows 7 compatible with my Officejet Pro L7590 All-In-One.
