I'm using Vista 64bit drivers at the moment.
When printing in "Grayscale", the colors are inverted and the page prints out completely black and the text is white.
When printing in color, documents print properly.

I tested the printing in Grayscale also since that saves money on color toner in the office

My 3600n has just printed around 100 pages and i found comments that hp is not going to adapt driver to Windows7 64 bit. This is not acceptable, the printer is brand new..and i wont be able to use it.

I own an HP3600DN printer, a bit more than a year and a half old. I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, only to find out that this semi-professional printer is no longer supported since it was discountinued last year. Mind you, this is not an old printer, it is not a disposable printer (especially after purchasing toner, etc.). It is incomprehensible that HP would not support it's product line with driver support, especially when new operating systems are introduced to the market place and the product is around one year old from a discountinued model aspect. Why would anyone in their right mind buy a product from a vendor who flat out states they will not/do not support the product? Judging from the forums, HP has a rather agravated audience, and figuring that about only 1%-3% of the customers take the time, I imaging HP is earning a lot a bad will.

I had luck with the XP drivers (32 bits) and Windows 7 Professional. The Pro version support virtual XP sessions and the HP software ran in the virtual session. I then installed the 3600 printer via the Windows 7 Add Printer and pointed to the HP 3600 folder created under the virtual session. The install hung but after ctrl/alt/del, the printer was listed and worked.

Appreciate the help..... you have been more helpful than HP.
Bottom line - Windows XP Pro 64 bit - installed the Vista 64 bit drivers and all "seems" to work fine. My paperweight now prints....

I tried the XP x64 drivers and same result.
I would rather not have to install XP 32 bit and run it in XP mode.
So those that got it to work, what exactly did you do?

Based on the post yesterday, I downloaded the 64 bit Vista Drivers and installed - local printer and created TC/IP port. Specified I had a disk, went to the folder in which all the files had unzip - it recognized one file (normal), then installed. Printed test page and it printed fine. I printed web pages and email and had not problem. Then printer PDF files and PowerPoint - all color. All seems to work OK with no color issues.
Running Dell XPS Dual Core - 8 gig RAM, 3.2 mHz, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
