I am looking for a nice resource of information for all these three entities to put them all in the best possible way.
You can share your practical experience about implementing these platforms here

Redo, data and index for oracle need to be raid 1 or raid 10. If you try and do it raid 5, you will get huge bottlenecks during heavy write periods because of how many disks need to be updated at the same time.
If the database is mostly reads, then you can ignore this advice.

As another real-world user of large Oracle DB (multi-TB, on large rp84xx, SDXX machines) on EVA5000's. We are finding out the same findings as the attached white paper which will also give you tidbits onhow to properly set up Oracle on EVA and the performance behaviour.
It's for 10G but should apply to 9.X as well.

I have few questions in regard to the document you have atttached. Can you give me your email id here to let you know my concerns?
Was the performance evalution of Oracle9i on EVA done by HP-Oracle ever?
Does the 10g evalution applies to 9i as well?
What makes you think that performance evaluation of 10g applies to 9i ? I am Curious to know , pls.
What sort of scalability and "serious reliability issues" you have came across using EVA?? It's interesting to know
We decided to have Vraid1 i.e. Raid 0+1 for all Vdisks which will ensure I/O balance for
