Vsclose

After correcting LDEV 54 to mirror again, what does it mean "This status will be reset when the volume set is vsclosed." Does this not require exclusive access to the volumeset? How is this accomplished when our production volumeset is always being written to either through session or jobs?

Volume: PROD:P7
Ldev 34: mvt: 839ccc00 (MEMBER) path: 10/4/4.4.0 35566208 sectors
state: [ Available, Mirrored ] { looks good }
Ldev 54: mvt: 839cf200 (MEMBER) path: 10/16/4.4.0 35566208 sectors
state: [ Available, Mirrored ] { looks good }
VDM PDA: 85ffa340 state: [ AuxAreaObtained, MgrIsReady ] {this is normal}
Ldev 34: State: online mib_status: 00000000 { looks good }
Ldev 54: State: online mib_status: 0001006f {* check this *}
This status translates to error 1 from subsystem 111
which means:
The I/O request was aborted.
and happened at sector $2ca0 (i/o was for #1 pages to objclass #44)
NOTE *** The above error is almost certainly old news because
*** this disk is in an online state.
*** This status will be reset when the volume set is vsclosed.

Re: Vsclose

Hi Kevin,
Which MPE/iX operating system utility did you use to generate the output you list?
