MPE/iX using IBM ESS 800 Storage

Hello all. I have an e3000 (997) that I would like to connect to an IBM ESS (model 800). Has anyone ever done this? I'm not sure if I could use fiber with the 997 (I think an N class is necessary). It's probably going to have to happen using some Vicom (scsi to fiber) switches. I'm a Unix admin that has inherited the MPE server so I apologize in advance for lack of knowledge of MPE.

Thanks,

Brian

Re: MPE/iX using IBM ESS 800 Storage

Hello Brian,

on an e3000 s997 server, native Fiber is not supported; you'll need a SCSI-to-FIBER. See following link for HW and SW requirements for MPE/iX High Availability and Storage http://jazz.external.hp.com/mpeha/

On the left menu, HA & Storage Matrix is particularly useful.

I doubt the IBM ESS is supported.

Thanks! That's the matrix I was looking for. I appreciate your help.
