How to remove 1 ldev of a Volume Set

Hi

We are having MPEiX ver.55
We are having 2 Ldev of System Set,10 Ldev 0f Database Set,1 Ldev of TEST Set.
I want to remove this TEST Set.Please give me the details to move further.
I am planning to do Scratch the ldev by SCRATCHVOL 1 in VOLUTIL.
Is it right,Can any guide me please..

Balaji,

If you are going to remove the
volumeset 'TEST', the following would be my advice.
1. Do a backup of that volume
set.
2. Do a 'VSCLOSE' from MPE to close the volume set.
This puts the device in a 'LONER' state. from this state, you can then use the volutil commands and remove the discs.

Actually this is status of Volumeset
38-ST15150 MASTER MEMBER1 (TEST_SET-0)

So,I need to take this ldev as SCRATCH State,For that whats to be done.

Thanks Gentlemen,

I got that result.
As i first did vsclose test_set;now
And scratchvol 38.
It came to scratch state.
