UFT 11.5 install fails during DCOM settings

[ Edited ]

I get the following error when UFT tries to do some post-install configuration "Run-time error 424 Object required". This error pops during the DCOM configuration(just before license setup). I have tries uninstall/reinstall UFT many times on my Windows 7 machine, but the error keeps coming back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: UFT 11.5 install fails during DCOM settings

Looks like VBScripting is corrupted. I did face this issue once.

Install the Microsoft VBScripting engine from the Microsoft website.

Search for "Windows Script" in Microsoft and install the higher version.

Let me know, if this works for you??

Re: UFT 11.5 install fails during DCOM settings

I could not find Windows Script download for Windows 7.  There is a Windows Script download for Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003 server, but not for Windows 7. I searched on Microsoft site, and on google, but no luck.

Re: UFT 11.5 install fails during DCOM settings

I tried that, but it did not work. Dowloaded windows script 5.7 for XP, and tried to install. Got SetUp error: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
