Share parameter among QTP tests?

Hello

I know we can share parameters between actions in the same test by putting them in Global data table.

Is there a way to share data / parameters between tests in QTP? SO, If I run a batch of tests, and all the tests use a parameter, I want to change the value in one location and not in Global data table of each test.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Share parameter among QTP tests?

Hello ,

Please check  "User defined external Environment variables" where any test can read variable created and stored in an external XML file.

QTP user guide has details on this.

Also , there is a KB article by HP which talks about sharing data between tests. Here is the link for it :

You will need a HP passport sign-in credentials to view the content.
