QTP is not recognizing firefox web objects.

Hi,

We are having an issue with recognizing firefox, chrome web objects in QTP 11.0.  We are on Windows 7 x32 bit version installed all required patches on the machine.  On the same machine IE8 objects are recognized.

Firefox patches:

QTPWEB_00063

QTPWEB_00090

QTPWEB_00092

QTPWEB_00100

QTPWEB_00105

QTPWEB_00112

QTPWEB_00122

Chrome patch is

QTPWEB_00088

QTPWEB_00102

QTPWEB_00120

I am not seeing Quick Test Pro plug-in under add-ins but installed patches are visible.  This is a priority issue,  please let us know if you suggest any resolution.

Re: QTP is not recognizing firefox web objects.

Hi QCAdministrator,

What versions of Google Chrome and Firefox are you using there?

The last supported version as per QTP 11.00 Product Availability Matrix are (on page 3):

HP QuickTest Professional 11.00 Product Availability Matrix
http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM1210389

Chrome supported versions: 12 - 18 (QTPWEB_00088), 19 - 23 (QTPWEB_00102) and 24 (QTPWEB_00120)
FireFox supported versions (some): 15-16 (QTPWEB_00112), 17 -   18 (QTPWEB_00122), and 19 (QTPWEB_000127)

If you are using a supported version of the browser, you can try the solution specified in the following KB articles:

How to enable/disable Google Chrome Extension for QTP/UFT?

How to enable/disable Firefox Extension for QTP/UFT?

Also, might be important that you meet the minimum required permission for using QTP/UFT, since sometimes are lack of permissions are related to a non-working add-in:

What are the minimum permissions required for QuickTest Professional (QTP), Service Test (ST), Sprinter (SP) and/or Unified Functional Testing (UFT)?

I hope you find useful the above information.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments on the above.
