We have a custom web grid that is made of a series of specialized DIV elements that mimic a web table. QTP of course just sees all of the individual row and cell DIVs as simple WebElement.
Using a WebTable checkpoint is very handy because we can check all rows and columns with a single checkpoint, and it highlights individual cells that are not matching expected results. But with a series of individual DIV elements, we would have to check each one individually and write a pass/fail response for each cell.
We can identify the entire div grid structure using Web Add-in Extensibility and create a custom control.
But does anyone know if/how we can convince QTP to allow a table checkpoint on a customized control?
Thanks for your help!
