HP uCMDB : Need help troubleshooting a Host connection by shell error

Hi experts,

I am running Host connection by Shell on thousands of Unix boxes. There are a few that fail with the following error message:

SSH: Internal error. Details: call of non-function ('None' object)

I could SSH into the Unix servers using Mindterm from the probe server that the IP addresses of the Unix servers are associated with. So, it appears to me that the permissions, ownership and sudo rules are in place. It is something related to uCMDB and the Jython script.

Can you please check the logs and help me troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks,

Praveen

Re: HP uCMDB : Need help troubleshooting a Host connection by shell error

Pardon my ignorance.

HP uCMDB: 9.05.CUP12.351

DDM Content Pack 11.08.802

OS: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4

Version of the Unix server I'm trying to discover.
HPUX11i-OE-Ent B.11.23.0609   HP-UX Enterprise Operating Environment Component

Let me know if you need other information.

Thanks,

Praveen

Re: HP uCMDB : Need help troubleshooting a Host connection by shell error

Dear Praveen,

Please go forward and install CP12 Update 9 available at HP LN at https://hpln.hp.com/node/11274/contentfiles/?dir=17819.

It contains multiple improvments for HP-UX discovery. It looks like defect QCCR1H87523 included in Update 7 is your case.

Hope this helps.
