Re: HP-UX CSE CERTIFICATION

You need the HP0-P20 the advanced system admin exam (its a tough one)

Took me 2 times to pass this one and I work with HPUX on a regular basis.

and one of the others.. The HP0-P19 is the High Availability Exam.  It encompasses the H6487 and the U8601 course based on 11.20 SG.

Good luck

[ Edited ]

Thanks for the excellent question Ajin.

If you want to find exam and course code information (and registration links) for any HP ExpertOne certification, visit our HP ExpertOne homepage (hp.com/certification).

Exam Pricing:

Costs for HP exams varies by country and region. To find the price for exams in your country, please visit the Hewlett Packard exam page on the Pearson VUE website.

Finding a specific exam or course:

(I'm using CSE - Speciality in High Availability - HP UX 11iv3 for this example)

1. Click "Certification" from the top navigation menu (from the HP ExpertOne webpage)

2. Select "View all certifications" from the drop down menu

3. From the "View all certifications" page, you can view certifications by:

  • New, career, partner restricted
  • Upgrade paths
  • Technologies

4. From the "Technologies" section, select the relevant technology. In this case, select "Operating Systems"

5. Click on the line "CSE - Speciality in High Availability - HP UX 11iv3"

A new window will open, displaying the overview and ideal candidate statements along with any prerequisites, and the necessary requirements for achieving the certification.

For the CSE - Speciality in High Availability - HP UX 11iv3 certification, the only prerequisite is the CSA - HP-UX 11iv3 certification.

If you hold CSA - HP UX 11iv3, you are ok. Upgrading from an older version requires successfully completing HP0-P20.

CSE - Speciality in High Availability - HP UX 11iv3 requires successfully completing two exams:

  • HP Serviceguard II - Disaster Tolerance, Continental Clusters, CFS, and Oracle RAC (course code 0071774)

For people who haven't completed the CSA - HP UX 11iv3 certification, I have included the core requirements.

CSA - HP-UX 11iv3 core requirements is completing 1 of the following exams:

Re: HP-UX CSE CERTIFICATION

[ Edited ]

HP0-P20 is the core requirement exam for the CSA - HP-UX 11iv3 certification. It can also be used to upgrade an older version of the CSA certification to the 11iv3 version.

HP0-P20 is not required for the CSE - Specialty in High Availability - HP UX 11iv3 certification.

Re: HP-UX CSE CERTIFICATION

Why there is not an official book for CSE yet?
