Hang out with me at HP Discover and see what I see through Google glass!

my glass2.pngAt such a big event such as HP Discover sometimes it’s hard to get around and see everything you want to.  It is tough to get to all of the track sessions and still find time to visit with peers and colleagues. It is also difficult when you can’t make the long trip to Las Vegas—you just know that you are missing the big news and announcements.

Being the nerd that I am, I  recently became a Google explorer and was able to purchase a pair of Google Glasses. I’ve decided to put my geek on and wear them around HP Discover! This way I can capture interesting tidbits, information, personal videos, tweets, post pictures and capture thoughts and share them with as many people as possible.

At this HP Discover I want to do more than just post information about what’s going on at the main stage or at certain breakout sessions.  Instead, I want to do something fun and interesting to share with you. This includes booth demos, ad hoc conversations with R&D, or simply share my thoughts in the moment. Of course I’m also hoping to get a little goofy with the glasses.

wingman.jpgSo the scheme is letting you, the reader become my “wingperson” and join me at HP Discover (virtually). One of the newest tools for social media is Google glasses and I thought it would be fun to bring a first-hand account to everyone that is interested in knowing what’s new and give them the ability to ask questions.

Here is how you can stay connected with me:

  • The first way that I plan to use the glasses is to tweet in the moment thoughts pictures using my @wh4tsup_doc Twitter account
  • If you connect with me on Google plus +michaeldeady_Doc I will be posting videos of booth demos and interesting conversations etc.
  • Finally if you have a Google plus account, you can always just click on #hangout and we can chat and you can see what I see

Keep in mind that I’m not a reporter. I am simply a geek that likes to share information. If you have a question and would like to share information with me directly during HP Discover just simply share your thoughts or comments with me online. Just so you know, I’m limiting the dares I will accept to one or two each day. I don’t want to become a permanent resident of Las Vegas’ only hotel that doesn’t have free Wi-Fi and none of the cells come with a snack bar.

Talk to you next week!
