ovcert -certreq error (bbc.431)

Hi All,
I installed OA 11.11.025 in Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bits.
In OM 9 UI, I add an grant the node and works OK.

The problem is when I put the ovcert command, it shows me this: (ovcert-check.jpg attached)
ovcert -check
OvCoreid set : OK
Private key installed: FAILED
Certificate installed: FAILED
Certificate valid: FAILED
Trusted certificates installed: OK
Trusted certificates valid: OK

Then, I try with ovcert -certreq and shows me an error (ovcert-certreq.jpg attached)

And finally, I try whith bbctuil command to ping to the om server and shows me an error ( bbcutil.jpg attached)

Does anybody knows the problem?

Thanks,

Best Regards,

Re: ovcert -certreq error (bbc.431)

Hello

On the node when you run the command

ovcert -list

What is the output that you see?

On the OM Console when you look at the properties for this particular node and go to "Advanced Configuration" what do you see for both the "Agent ID" and "Modify Certificate State". The first should match with the actual agent id on the node (it is the same value as the coreid of the agent or the first entry in the ovcert -list output on the node).

Hopefully something in these are not right and gives you clues as to what could be wrong.

Regards

Ram

Re: ovcert -certreq error (bbc.431)

Hi,

The ovcert -list now shows me: (because I removed the trusted certificates)

OvCoreid set : OK
Private key installed: FAILED
Certificate installed: FAILED
Certificate valid: FAILED
Trusted certificates installed: FAILED
Trusted certificates valid: FAILED

In OM Console, I see this:

Core ID: is the same that the ovcoreid command in the node

Certificate State: nocertificate

Re: ovcert -certreq error (bbc.431)

Hello

Not sure what you see when you run the ovcert -list command. Can you post the output? Also if okay do post the output of ovconfget from the same node?

Regards

Ram

Re: ovcert -certreq error (bbc.431)

After installation, did you granted the certificate id on OM server ?

also post output from node ,
cd /opt/OV/bin
./ovcert –check
./ovcert –certreq
./ovcert –list
./ovcoreid

Re: ovcert -certreq error (bbc.431)

Hello.

I am assuming you are talking about a remote node.

Verify which certificate server is set on this node (look in the "sec.cm.client" namespace section of the output):

ovconfget

Hi Max,

The output you posted is from the ovcert -check command, when running the ovcert -list command the system will display the list of certificates installed.

You can check the output of it from the following guide on page 12

http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM832402?

On page 16 you can see the procedure to remove the certificates and install then again, I would suggest you go through these steps since as you mentioned you removed the Trusted certificates already.

Hope this helps.
