Hello Wadi,

is "No according data found in the database. (OpC50-3)" the only error in the sytem.txt? or is followed by another error message that could provide more hints to the root cause of the problem. Also, does this happen for a particualr node only?. does it happen with a particular template only as well?.

Please let us know.

Best regards.

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Hello.

For the first error we will need more information like already asked. The best option is to enable tracing to get full details.

For the second issue, put the following into a file (say '/tmp/tfsulock.sql'):

set echo off
set pagesize 60
Column SID FORMAT 999 heading "Sess|ID "
COLUMN OBJECT_NAME FORMAT A17 heading "OBJ NAME or|TRANS_ID" Trunc
COLUMN OSUSER FORMAT A10 heading "Op Sys|User ID"
COLUMN USERNAME FORMAT A8
COLUMN TERMINAL FORMAT A8 trunc
select B.SID, C.USERNAME, C.OSUSER, C.TERMINAL,
       DECODE(B.ID2, 0, A.OBJECT_NAME,
            'Trans-'||to_char(B.ID1)) OBJECT_NAME,
     B.TYPE,
       DECODE(B.LMODE,0,'--Waiting--',
                      1,'Null',
                      2,'Row Share',
                      3,'Row Excl',
                   4,'Share',
                      5,'Sha Row Exc',
           6,'Exclusive',
                        'Other') "Lock Mode",
       DECODE(B.REQUEST,0,' ',
                      1,'Null',
                      2,'Row Share',
                      3,'Row Excl',
                      4,'Share',
                      5,'Sha Row Exc',
                      6,'Exclusive',
                     'Other') "Req Mode"
  from DBA_OBJECTS A, V$LOCK B, V$SESSION C
where A.OBJECT_ID(+) = B.ID1
  and B.SID = C.SID
  and C.USERNAME is not null
order by B.SID, B.ID2;

select SID, SERIAL# from v$session;

SELECT s.process, s.program, p.spid, p.pid, sid    FROM v$session s, v$process p   WHERE s.paddr = p.addr;

exit

Then as user "oracle" run:

sqlplus system @/tmp/tfsulock.sql

It will ask you for the password of this Oracle user (this is the password that's also needed during the OMU/OML installation).  This will show locks at the moment, but keep in mind that locks are often temporary in nature so you need to run this as soon as possible after you get the ORA-00054 warning (even this does not guaranteee you will catch it).  Also, killing the session is usually not a good idea - it's better to understand why it occurs.

In general the ORA-00054 is a warning message and the processes will retry the same request several times before giving up - you will get a different error if this occurs.

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Hi,

The oracle error says that your template related table in DB is busy and not ready for update. However this should auto fix with in few minutes.

So you can try to restart the OM services so that any lock could be released.
Also post more error as stated above.

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Hello everyone,

thank you for your replies.

well concerning the errors we have only the errors mentionned earlier, we have the ORA error followed by the "No according data found in database" after each distribution.

i have restarted HPOM but there is no changes in this behavior, we still have the issue with distribution policies.

this error is applied to all nodes and to all templates, so in our case we are not able to deploy any new monitoring.

@Goran : i will check with Our DB Administrator this check and get back to you with the result.

Best regards,

Wadii

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Right, I thought so.

So this has no relation to your distribution issues so I suggest you ignore it for now.

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Hello.

The 'opcmsgm' process is dealing with messages, not with distribution, so the ORA error is unrelated to your distribution issues.  There are settings that can usually be applied to help with this.

How to enable tracing is documented in the manuals - this is a single line command (or split it in several with use of "\").

ovconfchg -ovrg server -ns opc -set OPC_TRACE TRUE -set OPC_TRACE_AREA ALL,DEBUG -set OPC_TRC_PROCS opcbbcdist -set OPC_DBG_PROCS opcbbcdist -clear OPC_DBG_EXCLUDE_AREA

To disable tracing:

ovconfchg -ovrg server -ns opc -clear OPC_TRACE -clear OPC_TRACE_AREA -clear OPC_TRC_PROCS -clear OPC_DBG_PROCS

Trace file is:

/var/opt/OV/share/tmp/OpC/mgmt_sv/trace

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Hello.

Several queries fail so it's no wonder it doesn't work.  I recommend to get in contact with support so this can be investigated.

I can't help without knowing exact node name used, its entry in the DB etc.

Regards,

Re: could not distribute templates on HPOM

Hi all,

the problem was solved, it was due to the fact that the management node was deleted from the node Bank.

the fact of the readding the node bank with it's properties has solved the issue.

Best regards,

Wadii
