Would like to stop receveing messages

Hello,

I am getting these kind of messages frequently even though things are fine at the managed node.  Can someone help me please. What needs to be done on the managed node to get this fixed?

  • End of Network Bottleneck Alert

  • End of Disk Bottleneck Alert

  • OV Control Daemon on node running

  • OV Control Daemon on node stopped

  • Network Bottleneck probability

  • OV Communication Broker stopped

Regards,

Sujith

Re: Would like to stop receveing messages

Hello

What is the agent version running on the node?

Check the System.txt to see if there is pattern for these messages (like they happen in regular time or if agent was stopped and restarted) and they may give you clues as to why this is happening.

Hope this helps.

Agent is an HTTPS agent 11.02.011. I can see these messages are appering at random times..sometimes it is continuous.

Hello

Messages like "control deamon is not running" means that the agent was stopped and was restarted. Typically you see this when the agent was manually stopped (or even scheduled task) or the machine was rebooted. Do a sanity check to see if none of these happened?

Also you are using an older OA 11.x agent and there are newer versions (latest is OA 11.11) available. If possible see if you can update the agent and it may help you as well.

Hope this helps or you get better answer.

Regards

Ram

Re: Would like to stop receveing messages

bottleneck alert messages are generated by performance agent/performance component of oa11. You can disable them  like this:

agsysdb -ovo off

na unixoch: /opt/perf/bin/agsysdb -ovo off
