I would like to ask for some technical assistance. I try to install HP Operation Manager in Linux Platform.
But i see an error: Please see attached file for error
HPOvOUSetup.rpm: not an rpm package
Is it oracle database should also install? Can i install HP OM and database in one machine deployment?
Thank you for your kind attention.

I'd say to redownload the OML media and try to reinstall it, it seems like a corrupted file, and yes, you can have OML + Oracle on one machine, keep in mind it is not recommended on production

Yes i will try to download it later. What if i install only the OML Management Server and no Oracle Database installed.
What will happen? Is it will running? Honestly, I dont have an idea on how to install and run it properly. I am having
a hard time to read those documentation. Thank you.
this command /mnt/disk/packages where i mounted the installer. (package directory)

OMU will not work without a proper Oracle database.
On the installation issue, there are a few things you can try to test
# cat /etc/*elease
# uname -a
Check version of rpm itself:
# rpm -q rpm
Make sure file has right permissions:
# ll /var/tmp/ServerPatch/9.10/packages/HPOvOUSetup.rpm
Try and see if file can be read without issue:
# cat /var/tmp/ServerPatch/9.10/packages/HPOvOUSetup.rpm > /dev/null
What's the exit code when running rpm:
# /bin/rpm -qp /var/tmp/ServerPatch/9.10/packages/HPOvOUSetup.rpm
# echo $?
