OS update

hi all!
I don't know if it's possible but do you know where to get the OS update from MPE 5.5 to 6.5 even with the instructions?

Re: OS update

Hi,

To obtain the MPE/iX 6.5 OS tapes (FOS, Subsys), please refer to your HP contract administrator. You must have a valid contract support agreement to get the MPE/iX OS update tapes.

The OS installation instructions are available in the "System Software Maintenance" manual at http://docs.hp.com.

The direct link to the 6.5 manual is at http://docs.hp.com/en/30216-90325/index.html (html version) or http://docs.hp.com/en/30216-90325/30216-90325.pdf (pdf version).

Re: OS update

Alerikauro,

In my opinion, not knowing what model you are running, once you get to 6.5, I'd recommend going all the way to 7.5. That way you'll get all the latest and last releases of HP software.

Re: OS update

Alerikauro,

The reason it would be important to know the model, is that with 6.5, HP dropped support for a lot of hardware. Be very careful and READ what will not be supported.

Re: OS update

well, my hp is an old 967SX model and I can't update to 7.5 because all our applications could not be working fine after that.
Chuck, I live in Ostia Antica, Rome. Where there are the ruins of the harbour city of ancient Rome! Did you enjoy the journey?
