Not a very detailed description of anything.
If Debian offers it (on Alpha), then you
should be able to install it on your Alpha
system (running Debian).

I don't know which distribution of what that
is, but, in general, I'd guess no. Tru64 is
a UNIX OS, and Linux looks like a UNIX OS,
but they really are two different operating

There is any distribuntion of Java (JRE for alpha server processor + OS Linux) to start a Java web server running Linux is this machine?

If you really have a Linux question, then you
might get better answers sooner in a Linux

Do you really want to use Java for a Web
Have you tried any of the usual "aptitude"
stuff to find a JRE kit? I'm not sure that
you need to do much. A simple search at
2.6. Java now in Debian
The OpenJDK Java Runtime Environment
openjdk-6-jre and Development Kit
openjdk-6-jdk, needed for executing Java GUI
and Webstart programs or building such
programs, are now in Debian. [...]
Of course, I have no idea which version of
anything you're running.
