Is is possible to install HP UPD silently only installing the driver?
Using /q /h by itself just brings up the normal installation process.
Alternatively, can someone tell me has fixed the driver so that it installs via 'Point and Print' correctly now?

UPD can be installed silently using the command line switches. Use install /? to get the full syntax of command line switches.
If the installer brings up the install wizard, that is an indication that the command line syntax was incomplete or incorrect. The installer assumes that you want to create a print queue, so you may need to supply that information usng the /sm command.
I'm not aware of any problems with Point and Print and UPD.

Install the UPD driver files onto the system. Example...
install.exe /sm192.168.2.100 /n"UPD_PCL6" /m /q /h
NOTE: check the install help for proper use of the /m switch. The behavior between releases may be different.
If you alreeady have UPD files on the system, another silent option to create a new printer, set an existing printer to shared, or install an alternate mode driver is possible with PRINTUI.
