HP Software will provide the answer to these questions next week at VMworld in Barcelona, Spain. You can stop by the demo booth and see for yourself. You can also attend the theatre presentation at 19:00 on Tuesday, October 15 to learn more.

If you don’t have the advantage of being in Barcelona, you can learn more now and download copies of two great tools that we are are offering for free. The first tool is called SiteScope. It provides agentless monitoring for VMware, Hyper-V, Solaris Zones, KVM, and Amazon Web Services. SiteScope also provides monitoring for more than 100 applications, servers and other infrastructure components targeting critical health and performance characteristics. You can see the details here. It is used by more than 2,000 accounts worldwide, and the free version allows you to take advantage of many of the features and benefits that have made this product so popular.

HP offers a second free tool that can dramatically simplify the process of isolating and troubleshooting problems in both virtualized and cloud environments. We call it Virtualization Performance Viewer (vPV). In addition to VMware, vPV supports Hyper-V, Xen and KVM hypervisors as well as OpenStack and HP Application Platform as a Service (PAAS). vPV is very easy to use, and it begins to deliver value within 15 minutes from the start of installation.
