Re: WSFramework - HP Service Test custom add-in

Hi,

I  had used this add-in. Its not worked fine.

1)Controller step is failing  stating that.I had set the control flag column with 0 and 1 values  in my data sheet and associated to execution flag via data source option

2012-11-14 04:19:48,911 [6] INFO UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Start' ended successfully

2012-11-14 04:19:49,567 [6] INFO UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Test Flow' : Step 'Test Flow' started

2012-11-14 04:19:49,567 [6] DEBUG UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Test Flow' : Parent Step: 'test'

2012-11-14 04:19:50,896 [6] INFO UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Iteration 1' : Step 'Iteration 1' started

2012-11-14 04:19:50,896 [6] DEBUG UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Iteration 1' : Parent Step: 'Loop2'

2012-11-14 04:19:50,927 [6] INFO UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Controller9' : Step 'Controller9' started

2012-11-14 04:19:50,927 [6] DEBUG UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Controller9' : Parent Step: 'Sequence11'

2012-11-14 04:19:59,505 [6] INFO UserLogger [(null)] - Step 'Controller9' : Error: Excel Path was not set correctly!

2nd case :

When I put controller spread sheet file  with  columns  testcasename, Execution flag, result its executing  but for the last iteration its giving  below error

Step 'Iteration 46' : Parent Step: 'Loop2'

Step 'Controller9' : Step 'Controller9' started

Step 'Controller9' : Parent Step: 'Sequence11'

Step 'Controller9' : Control file error.

Step 'Controller9' : Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Step 'Controller9' :

Step 'Controller9' ended unsuccessfully

2)Report file is not also creating  in the reqd folder.

On the fly after execution it is creating book1.xls  with only two worksheets with s third work sheet wiome junk output sheet.

3) And if i want to edit my controller file for another its saying that its locked.

All the screen shots attached for reference. Controller file also attached .

Would you please help me to resolve the issues .

Hi HariShankar_ST ,

Thank you very much for posting your issue. I haven't visited this forum for a long time, i'm sorry that i were not aware your post timely.

The route cause of first issue is if the sheet name contains space, Service Test will add some special character to its sheet name. I have fixed this issue in my project, please re-download the addin.

the second issue is due to the junk data in your input data sheet, if you remove the row number 47 (in screenshot). You will not see that error again.

For the last locking issue, ST runtime environment sometimes won't execute the codes in destructor properly. You can manually kill the excel process in task manager and open that file again.

Thank you again for helping me to improve the addin.

Re: WSFramework - HP Service Test custom add-in

You can only choose to use either of "Control File"  or "Execution Flag", not both.

If you decide to link the execution flag to the column from the sheet that you have already import, please keep the control file blank. Otherwise the controller will read the file path you set in "Control File" as a high priority and check if the file has the correct format.

In your case, i think you can remove control file value and try again.

Can you show me the sheet in which you bind your execution flag and the runtime log in HP ST output window?

The issue seems refer to the excel file path in your local machine, can you tell me the path you save the file?

And which mode you choose when you import your excel file?

Re: WSFramework - HP Service Test custom add-in

Hi there,

I have enable the functionality of upload report to ALM as an attachment.

The uploaded files can befound in attachment tab for each test set.

Please notice that this function has some dependency. User permission, ALM project setting, ALM client installation issue may cause the attachment not be uploaded successfully
