SRC Documentation on customization on addition of new fields

Hi All,

New Service Catalog Customization guide has been missing, though SRC is very good look and feel wise but customer always demands for more. So it is always negative feedback when we need to add new fields.

It will be really helpful if you come up with documentation on this topic.

Re: SRC Documentation on customization on addition of new fields

Hello,

I know that course does not replace the fact of the administration guide, nut I have watched to webinar on Learning center in which this area was good covered (In case if you desperately need to get deeper in it atm.).

Re: SRC Documentation on customization on addition of new fields

Hi Abhijit,

I would like to clarify "New Service Catalog Customization guide has been missing". Do you mean KM00729552_hp_man_SM9.33_SRC_Customization_pdf.pdf does not cover adding new fields?
Cheers :)

Re: SRC Documentation on customization on addition of new fields

Hi,

I think adding a new field in SRC customization guide has been documented.

In SRC customization guide, under

Service Manager configuration for Service Request Catalog > Tailor check-out panels > Custom fields: introduces custom fields.

Service Manager configuration for Service Request Catalog > Tailor check-out panels > Add a configuration: documents the steps and instances on how to add a custom field.

Hope it can be helpful for your question.

Huijuan, Yes, I agree with you. The guide does cover this area. So I asked to clarify. Thank you for listing the related topics clearly.

Re: SRC Documentation on customization on addition of new fields

Besides "Tailor check-out panels" using "Tailoring -> SRC Tailoring", the manual also covers user selection in topic:

Appendix B: Service Catalog in Service Manager
Dynamic User Options in Catalog Items
