As per below KB , the issue occurs due to 2 reasons

(a) Either any of the downloaded part is corrupt..

(b) Merging the parts is not done properly..

Re: HP SHR 9.30 installation issue

I tried both methods of reassembly but result remains same

copy /b TD185-150*.part? C:\HPSHR_9.3\HPSHR930.iso
OR
type TD185-150*.part? > C:\HPSHR_9.3\HPSHR930.iso

Re: HP SHR 9.30 installation issue

Just give a try :

Un-install the partially installed software , clear the temp files , delete the registry entries .. Reboot your machine and then try the installation ..

Re: HP SHR 9.30 installation issue

Hello Morven,

Please verify if UAC is disabled and try to execute the installation with a right click in the installation file to show popup menu and clicking in "Run as administrator" option.

Let we know the outcomes.

Re: HP SHR 9.30 installation issue

Dear Morven.?

Try to increase the RAM to 12 GB and  24 Gb and try it. The SAP business object installation takes more time to install. When ever the memory crunch takes please installation fails.

or if ur installing the interactive drives i.e. in other drives except C drive check the user which ur using is having read and write and read and execute permission is set.

Please check these things and try the installation.

Thanks,

Sunil

Re: HP SHR 9.30 installation issue

Hello Morven,
Before you re-install the application, ensure Read/Write permission is given to Users Group to the drive where SHR is installed.
postgres user is created during SHR installation and belongs to Users group.

Re: HP SHR 9.30 installation issue

Check if all the registry keys inside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Installer>UserData has permissions for the current user.

We had a similar issue in our environment, and the issue was resolved by manually assigning permissions to the keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Installer>UserData for the current user.

That resolved the issue for us.
