Firewall rules between HP SA core and a satellite

Hi All,

I'm looking for the firewall rules to apply between the HP SA core and a satellite. Does someone know?

Regards,

Re: Firewall rules between HP SA core and a satellite

Would you mind sharing your findings? I have been told the following ports need to be opened, however I am unsure which need to be opened for the satellite to call the core or vice versa. I am getting push back from my security resource when I request all these ports to be opened for calls from either the core or satellite servers.

2001

3001

1002

Thanks!

Re: Firewall rules between HP SA core and a satellite

For agent/satellite comms, it's mapped as follows:

Satellite  -> Managed Server, Port 1002

Managed Server - Satellite, Port 3001

The source port will be greater than 1023 for either of those, and is TCP for both of them.

If you're going to do OS provisioning, it's a whole lot more ports. I'm pretty darn sure this is in the 9.x documentation.

The attached is 7.8 documentation, but has proven useful for communicating requirements.
