ISEE security option explanation

I have recently installed ISEE. I have been unable to find an explanation of one of the security options; "Do not allow access to networked computers or peripherals". What does this mean? Is a Fibre Channel attache RAID considered a peripheral? From what perspective is this taken, i.e. from the ISEE client looking out the network?

Thanks,
Carl

Re: ISEE security option explanation

Carl,

This setting restricts MAP calls that rely on network access (such as SNMP). Instead of populating return telemetry with valid data, these calls would note a security exception.

ISEE currently does not deploy any MAP functionality that would be affected by this setting.

Hope this helps explain things.
