blue streaks with my scanner

hi gang
i had the hp 4215 printer and the hp 3670 scanjet
scanner on my computer.then i noticed blue streak
on the saved photo with the printer.i believe th-
means the inks low.so i uninstalled the printer
and tried to use the scanner alone and guess what
i had the blue streaks with the scanner as i did
with the printer.i just cleaned the scanners gl-
ass and i still have the issue.whatelse can i do?
