Scanjet N8420, Windows 7 and Adobe X Pro

I have an odd one where my User is logged into the Domain on his workstation and can convert different file types from scan to .jpg, .tiff, etc .. when he tries to convert to .PDF he recieves the message of "Failed to convert scanned document"


Even more strange - if I log into the machine as the local admin or as a domain admin - the program works great! and before you ask, Yes - he is a member of the local admin group .. go figure.


Any ideas?
