Re: Can SCSI to USB adapter be used instead of SCSI card for SJ problem

to answer my own question, no. There are no drivers for HP scanners for the SCSI to USB or SCSI to firewire(1394) converters that I could find.

Re: Can SCSI to USB adapter be used instead of SCSI card for SJ problem

Hello Mark -

The ScanJet 6300C Windows2000 driver is for SCSI and USB. If you were able to find a successful converter it is possible that the software would be able to find the ScanJet. Here is a link to the driver download....

Re: Can SCSI to USB adapter be used instead of SCSI card for SJ problem

I just tried this solution over the weekend, using the Belkin SCSI to USB adapter. Now, my PC states that new hardware is detected, but identifies my 6300C as an HP C7670A! It then looks for drivers for this device, and cannot find them. Don't know where to go from here.

Re: Can SCSI to USB adapter be used instead of SCSI card for SJ problem

Hello Alphonso -

Other customers have posted questions regarding C7670A, which we have been able to identify as the ADF. Does your ScanJet 6300C have the ADF adapter? You should be able to install the ScanJet 6300C software.

Hello Alphonso -

Can you tell which ScanJet you have? Also, let me know the operating system. You can download available software.

Re: Can SCSI to USB adapter be used instead of SCSI card for SJ problem

I have an HP6300C Scanner, with a brand newDell Dimension 8200 Computer running XP. I have ordered and installed the latest HP Scanner software for XP, and now I still get the "Can't find drivers" message. Is there a driver file somewhere that is missing?

Re: Can SCSI to USB adapter be used instead of SCSI card for SJ problem

Hello Alphonso -

There is documentation available that address a Scanner Not Found, or File Not Found error, but I am unfamiliar with a Driver Not Found message. One suggestion is to try the WIA drivers for your ScanJet.
