How do you ensure that SDN apps do not conflict on the controller or switch

Question

What means do you provide to ensure that independent developers do not interfere with each other's applications while using the controller?

For instance both using same tables in OpenFlow or sharing compute resources on the controller.

Answer

The current HP VAN SDN Controller, version 2.0, has incorporated some steps to make sure applications can interact with the controller and each other safely at the program execution level.

It is really up to the system or network admin to really understand how applications will interact with one another when installing multiple apps together.

However, we are also working on higher-level APIs that will help to balance, prioritize or segment use of resources and control commands.
