Question

Where can I find the documentation on the Parameters used for SDN Controller REST API? We want to write some test scripts using REST APIs.

Answer

With the HP SDN Controller up and running on http://<ip-or-dns-name>:8080/sdn/ui, you can access the REST API RSdoc using the following URL: http://<ip-or-dns-name>:8080/api. On RSdoc, each REST service is associated with a “Raw” link.  Clicking on the “Raw” link will bring up another page which contains the “model” associated with that REST service. The model data will help you figure out the parameters required for the REST service. Another approach from Rsdoc is to click each REST service.  For example, clicking on “/diag” will expend and display REST APIs associated with that service.  Click on a REST API and you will find the “Implementation Notes” and “Parameters” details for that REST API.

The controller REST APIs are documented in the HP VAN SDN Controller REST API Reference, available from the HP SDN Information library at www.hp.com/go/sdn/infolib
