I am getting the following error message while trying to export Testcases from Excel (Office 2013) to ALM "A general error has occured. 'The required ALM client files have not be downloaded. To download the files go to Application Lifecycle Management login Page'." I have attached the screenshot for reference.
I have also installed "HP ALM Connectivity Add-in" and "HP ALM Client Registration" but I still get the error message as mentioned above. Is there a way to make the ALM addin work with Excel 2013(Office 2013). Please help me with the same.
ALM Version: 11.50
Office/Excel version: 2013
IE version: IE9(32 bit)
Note: I have IE 9 32-bit and 64-bit both installed in my machine. I am able to login to ALM only in IE9 32 bit.
Thanks in advance.

I would like to inform you that MS Office 2013 is not yet supported by HP ALM 11.50.
Currently supported versions are:
- Microsoft Office 2007 SP2 32 Bit
- Microsoft Office 2010 32 Bit
- Microsoft Office 2010 SP2 32 Bit - HP ALM 11.52 SP2 + SP2 Patch 01 required.
About IE 9 64 bit - since HP ALM 11.50 is a 32 bit application you can not work with it in IE 9 64 bit.
This is a product limitation.
All of the HP ALM product specifications you can ind on the following page:
I hope this helps.

Currently most of the organization are using Office 2013 and QC 11.0 or 11.5. Apart from that those companies who are using Windows are using OS 7 and IE 10 or 11. Some of them are also planning to upgrade to 8.1
Hence i would request HP to come up with solution for compatibility of Office 2013 with QC 11 as soon as possible.

From one customer to another, your request is unlikely to be fulfilled. HP has released two newer versions of the product that are compatible with Office 2013, and so are unlikely to make an fix for an older version. ALM 11.52 patch 2 and ALM 12 support Office 2013.
HP is strongly encouraging all clients to upgrade at this point.
