ALM 11 - Excel Report to extract number of steps based on Status of execution

Hi,

Am having a requirement to create a report that list down the total number of steps in each module(or test set) , grouped by its execution status.

For eg :

Module Name    Total Steps   Passed   Failed   No Run   Not Completed

Google                   100                       34        42          25            10

I created the below query for doing this. But, the problem i am facing is, the STEPS table does not contain the details of the steps for the test cases that were not RUN. ( They dont have any Run ID's). So basically, it doesnt give the count for the test cases which were not executed.  Is there any alternative way that i could try?

SELECT
CF_ITEM_NAME As "Module",
SUM(Decode(ST_STATUS,'Not Completed',1,0)) As "Not Completed" ,
SUM(Decode(ST_STATUS,'Passed',1,0)) As "Passed",
SUM(Decode(ST_STATUS,'Failed',1,0)) As "Failed",
SUM(Decode(ST_STATUS,'No Run',1,0)) As "No Run",
SUM(TEST.TS_STEPS) As "Total Steps"

FROM  Run , Step,TestCycl, Test ,Cycle,Cycl_Fold
Where ST_Run_ID =RN_RUn_ID And RN_TestCycl_ID = TC_TestCycl_ID AND TC_Test_ID = Ts_Test_ID

 And Cy_Cycle_ID = TC_Cycle_Id
And CF_ITEM_ID = CY_Folder_ID
And CF_Item_path like 'AAAAARAAA%'   Group By CF_ITEM_NAME
Order BY CF_ITEM_NAME

Please use plain text.

You should use LEFT JOIN instead of INNER JOIN when adding RUN table.
