Hiding Bypass Creation button on create_request workflow event

Hi everyone,

I am using create_request workflow event and there are two buttons one of which (Bypass Creation)is not editable by design.

I wonder is there any way to avoid displaying this button?

Thanks,

Re: Hiding Bypass Creation button on create_request workflow event

Alternative I can suggeste is:

User ksc_create_request command instead of "Workflow envent".

Then give only one transition i.e. Create Request.

In this way it show only one action button.

Cheers..

Re: Hiding Bypass Creation button on create_request workflow event

Hi Utkarsh,

We are using version 9.10 and I don't see ksc_create_request command.

Wouldn't it produce an error, if I use this command?

Thanks

Use ksc_copy_request. It is documented in the Commands, Tokens, and Validations Guide and Reference.

Re: Hiding Bypass Creation button on create_request workflow event

There is a server.conf parameter -

RESTRICT_BYPASS_EXECUTION_TO_MANAGERS

RESTRICT_BYPASS_REQ_EXEC_TO_MANAGERS

Add these twp parameter in server.conf

Now the Bypass Creation button will not be visible to normal users. It will be visible only to ppl with Admin access or to users with the Manage Request access grant. Only these ppl can bypass an execution step on a request.

Hope this answers your question.

Re: Hiding Bypass Creation button on create_request workflow event

Hi ArunKr,

Thanks,

RESTRICT_BYPASS_EXECUTION_TO_MANAGERS=true

RESTRICT_BYPASS_REQ_EXEC_TO_MANAGERS=true worked
